Hi everyone, it’s Robbie Cheadle here with you today with my September post in the Animal Photography section on LatinosUSA – English Edition. This month I am featuring photographs of Autumn.

Autumn animals by Robbie Cheadle

During autumn in southern Africa, the veld grass goes a beautiful reddish gold. I love going to the Pilanesberg National Park during May because it is so pretty. These photographs are from a trip during May 2024.

«The Glencoe Lochan was built by the man who drove the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway in at Craigellachie, British Columbia.  Lord Strathcona was from Forres in Scotland. and he built  the Lochan for Isabella Hardisty, the woman who had the courage to leave her abusive partner and along with her wee boy, seek his protection. He did it to remind her of the homeland she pined for. Despite that the couple returned to Canada, because her home was her home.  But the Lochan exists to this day and this was taken on a birthday trip, the funny thing being that the other end of  the glen was like the Arctic while here autumn had put on its finest colors.»

I am humbled by the magnificence and beauty of our planet, it is incomparable. I’ve loved and enjoyed nature since I was a young girl. I’ve been a serious photographer for over a decade. In 2012 I’ve developed this blog and dedicated my photography to wildlife, nature conservation and telling stories with my camera. Wild animals are naturally intertwined with the health of our ecosystem and vital to humanity’s existence. Our dependency on nature spans basic needs (food, water, oxygen) to cultural, spiritual, and mental health benefits, forming the natural heritage that supports human existence. It is my intention as a nature enthusiast to capture the essence of the natural world in the form of mindful, inspiring images to connect people with the sacredness of it all

What Laura says about her photographs:

Aspen in Autumn was my first autumn in northern Arizona. I was struck by the white tree trunks and the coloful, delicate leaves and that they were in a row, I think of this scene everytime fall arrives.

The second image I call Transitions was captured in mid-September. I thought of summer green transitioning to colorful autumn when I saw these two trees crossing.

A walk in Autumn was taken in Indianapolis, it’s a nature trail for walking and biking, it stretches over several miles. For me, it was a breathtaking abundance of colorful nature in my favorite season.

South African author, photographer, and artist, Robbie Cheadle, has written and illustrated seventeen children’s books, illustrated a further three children’s books, written and illustrated four poetry books and written and illustrated one celebration of cake and fondant art book with recipes. Her work has also appeared in poetry and short story anthologies.

Robbie also has two novels and a collection of short stories published under the name of Roberta Eaton Cheadle and has horror, paranormal, and fantasy short stories featured in several anthologies under this name.
