“I Wanna Be a High Roller!” by H.L. Dowless

I want to be a high roller,
Walk around with the big dogs
Baby,
A real-life man of action,
Rock ‘n roll out-a-controller!

Don’t want to be no pokinyo chauwawa
Lady,
I want to howl at the moon with Spike!
I have what you and many centerfold models want.
Dear woman,
We all know fast times mixed with big money is what
These damn felines obviously like!

Imagine this…
A well-dressed man wearing a snow-white Borsalino
Struts into Vegas.
He’s constantly laying a royal flush —
Always rolling double twelves with the big bones,
Tuning ten times the best take of Phil Ivey,
Wearing his black coat with those silly pictures of red tomatoes.
This well-dressed man steps to the side
Speaking on a Goldfish alone,
So our hazy midnight fantasy goes.

Every time he steps into a room,
Now people,
All of his potential competitors have long since
Up and flown.
Cause he’s a high roller,
Standing tall among the untouchables,
Who can do no wrong!

He owns multifamily apartments,
Some three hundred at least,
Every other year, he drops five mill’ into the stock market,
Turning a six-hundred percent increase.
Now
He don’t need any stress
With his golden touch being so starlit.
Honey,
This ridged granite glittering donkey-dick mega-man
Damn sure ain’t no tease,
Cause he’s a true-life high roller!

Yeah…
A freeborn man among adventurous men,
The one yonder lounging at that money table
Spinning a perfect ten!
See him?
The one smoking the Royal Courtesan with that fancy spotless fedora,
Surrounded by those five gorgeous women
In the light plantation peach and sea breeze cerulean dresses
With the sparkling rhinestones and sequins.
Stacks of dollars and golden coins sitting before him
And wearing that pearly white grin…
The man giving a hearty rum toast
With the rising tropical sun behind his head.
Yeah! That’s the one!
