The Man of Few Words by Ed Ahem

Published by

There lived a man quite short of word,

terse for him a tad too long,

whose love was lived in snips of joy,

whose hates were here and gone.

He worked at best part time

and slept in fits and starts.

I showed this to him just now

and he said, “cut it to the bone.”

So I did.

“Speak not lest ye sprawl.”
