Can you be at peace with yourself and at peace with life even when things are not as you like them to be or think they should be? Can you rest in your own beingness, which is peaceful by default, knowing that being is enough despite everything else? Can you sit calmly with yourself, irrespective of what was done and achieved, where you are on your journey, and who you are now while unfolding and becoming?
To settle in your inherent nature of peace beyond conditions is the highest state you can experience in life. Not as a powerless resignation or personal defeat, but as a soft, mighty state where you know that you, your value, and your potential can truly never be changed by outer forces. And so, at peace exactly because you realize your power and truth.
Outside is outside and is not always in your hands. But inside, you own your dominion and are the master of your inner lands. You are the soul lord of your existence, regardless of physical experiences and conditionings. Acceptance of what is, within and without, takes you to peace—peace with yourself and peace with life. Gratitude also helps you settle in your peaceful nature and stay at ease, no matter what.
Your mind will try to convince you that only when you are this or that, get this or that, or the circumstances are in this or that manner can you have peace. But the truth is that peace is your ultimate nature and so always with you, before anything else. Only you could embrace it more from where you are, instead of believing the illusion that peace is a consequence and not a foundation. The distance between the two is realization, awareness, and mindset. Where do you personally stand along this line?
