Dealing with the Beast

A man full of authority
Has cold expression
Telling sharp words to all his people
Providing harsh approach

People used to be afraid around him
Just a single stare makes them timid
Hiding beneath the corners
Being frightened of his presence

He’s the boss
While I’m the employee
I used to work for him at a time
Securing the gap, not crossing through the line

There’s an encounter
Where I had to deal that behavior
Trying to be careful
But faith made him feel bad at my presence

Every time we cross our path
There’s a look that screams enragement
He looked so pissed
Shoving me at his sight

But behind those glares
There’s a glint of admiration
And softness in his eyes
Telling how important I was

The sad look I always plaster
Makes him worry and help me to smile
Needing his attention
Even doing the craziest act

I felt so incomplete with out him
Ready to tell him the way I felt
Out of noises, I saw him with a truth
Realizing I overlooked the reality I wish I never had
