Calloused Hands, Open Heart by Scarlet Rose

calloused hands, broken fingernails,
blistered soles, brittle bones,
forgotten days, buried time,
lost laughter, smudged smiles.

spring fragrances bloom;
summer waves dance;
autumn foliage fade;
winter lullabies whistles.

morning sunbeams tease the warmth within;
hummingbirds sing of better days ahead;
oak trees sway of graceful endurance;
snowdrops breathe of the promise of light.

calloused and broken shall heal;
blistered and brittle shall strengthen;
forgotten and buried shall sprout;
lost and smudged shall shine.
