“Life is hiding amongst the coral” by Ken Tomaro

Published by

on

some people have seen
the Taj Mahal in India,
the Great Barrier Reef
I have seen an owl
staring me down
from five feet away
before it flies off
from one tree to the other
wild turkeys wandering
in the middle of nowhere
blurred cloud edges
in a completely focused sky
you see the gold
in them there hills
and I see the wrinkles of life
