Hi everyone, it’s Robbie Cheadle here with you today with my July post in the Buildings & Architecture Photography section on LatinosUSA – English Edition. For this post, I am focusing on Cranes and other large machinery.

Cranes and other large machines by Robbie Cheadle

A large earth moving machine at the Pilanesberg National Game Reserve. It was being used to repair the roads that were very rutted and damaged by torrential summer rain.

The following photographs were all taken in Brussels in July 2025.

  • A crane in Brussels being used for renovations to a multistory building.
  • A machine with a fenced platform that lifts men up in order to wash the windows of high rise buildings.
  • Another machine with a fenced platform. On it stands a man who is directing the construction of a stage for a music concert in Brussels.

The following black and white photograph of a crane was taken in London.

Lots of great big machine and cranes photos. I remember seeing the call for this but I forgot. We have some big machines and cranes here in Dallas. The large caterpillar earth moving machine at the top reminds me of something that happened in my home town in northern. An acquaintence of mine was driving one of those, exactly that machine, he was working a road. However, the scraper underneath was sticking out in over the ditch at the side of the road and in the ditch there was a telephone pole, and at the top of the telephone pole there was a repairman working. Well, telephone the pole went down and so did the repairman, weeeh. Luckily, he was OK.
