gentle caresses of the breeze, her best friends,
the tranquil meadows, her sanctuary to this day.

in the arms of the meadows, she could
shout her sorrows to the whispering wind,
cry her frustrations to the endless skies,
scream her heartaches to the open air.

in the embrace of the meadows, she could
play chase with willing butterflies,
dance and sing with the swaying petals,
paint her dreams on the canvas of time.

in the shelter of the meadows, she could
she could simple be a girl, unburdened,
she could tear away her tall facade,
she could be free as the wind.

as she gazes across the vast meadow,
her eyes shimmer with the weight of memories,
the tender embrace of the meadows she still yearns for,

the haven of the meadows, her heart forever believes.
