A POEM FOR THE THIRD OF JULY

‘Twas the Night before the Fourth
and all through the White House
Trump was raving on Truth Social
Much louder than a Mouse
That it was his way of the highway
No detours in site
He was forever elected
Starting that night
How did your democracy
Get into this bind
You had to look no further
He was out of his mind

THE BIG 250!

Tomorrow we celebrate
the big 2-5-0
Our sesquicentennial
How the years come and go
A huge celebration
with fireworks galore
Maybe a parade of two
Who could want more?

Pat Alderman
