Brass chandelier dedicated to the Brontës by Robbie Cheadle
When my family visited the Bronte Parsonage Museum in Haworth, York, we also visited the Haworth Parish Church (St. Michael and All Angels). This church includes the Bronte Memorial Chapel where Charlotte, Emily, and Branwell are buried. Inside the chapel is an antique brass chandelier salvaged from the original Bronte-era church building. This chapel is dedicated to the Bronte family and has their names inscribed on it.

Thomas Wikman has two wonderful blogs. The first, https://leonbergerlife.com/, features amusing and heartwarming stories about his late Leonberger dog Bronco, as well as other Leonbergers. Thomas’s second blog, https://superfactful.com/, aims to create a long list of facts that are important, not trivia, and that are known to be true yet are either disputed by large segments of the public or highly surprising or misunderstood by many.
Thomas is a dog lover and I enjoyed his special book about his Leonberger which also includes entertaining stories about his other dogs. I love all animals so his blog is a must read for me.

Below are photos of the chandelier in the lobby of the Ice Hotel in Jukkasjârvi in northern Sweden. The ice hotel in Jukkasjârvi is the original and largest ice hotel in the world, and it is located above the arctic circle. We stayed there overnight some years ago. The kids loved it. The faint figure behind one of the pillars in the lobby is my younger son. The chandelier was made entirely out of ice, and the lights were provided by fiber optics.
Photo from the ice hotel, the same trip. It shows LED lights lighting up one of the rooms in the ice hotel. Incandescent lights could not be used because they would melt the ice.
Photo of several bright lights inside the Unirea Salt Mine Complex in Romania. This large room was located 300 meters below ground and would of course be totally dark without the lights. This was from our trip to Romania/Transylvania.
These three pictures are chandeliers in the People’s Palace or as it also called the palace of the parliament in Bucharest, Romania. It was built by the dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu.

A stained glass lampshade made by Derrick’s late friend, Giles Darvill, and given as a 50th birthday gift. The first picture shows the children, Ellie, Jack, and Ella, gathered in front of the lamp.
These street lamps in Gosport Street are typical of those in Lymington. These photographs reflect a conversation in the High Street.
