Handcuffs of Galaxy by Friscia Magbanua
In the beginning, there was darkness—
quiet, complete, untouched.
Then you spoke—
and it felt like: let there be light.
You put stars inside me.
Not gently—
but like ignition.
Like something inside me had to break open
just to make space for them.
They grow day by day—
too bright, too many, too alive—
until I can’t tell where I end anymore.
It hurts,
this expansion.
Like becoming a universe that doesn’t fit its own edges.
Sometimes it feels like I’m overflowing with light—
stars pushing out of places
that were never meant to hold galaxies.
Beautiful, yes—
but unstable.
Like everything sacred is also on the verge of rupture.
I knew from the beginning.
It was you.
It has always been you inside the center of this.
You are my gravity—
the force that keeps turning my chaos into orbit.
And still, it feels like madness
to be held together this tightly
by something I cannot escape.
“I won’t tell a soul.”
