Rivers Run Dry

Rivers scribble and
and doodle away.
Their verses and their
drawings are water
based. Rivers run dry
in times of drought, and
when dead bodies float
to the surface, they
are witnesses to the
bad deeds of mankind.
They were here in times
of better climate,
before pollution
tainted their verses
and illustrations.

False Rain

Night drops like
an anchor.
It evades
the statues.
It is their
snoring and
their tears of
liquid stone
like fountains,
like false rain
it evades.
In silence
it flows, false
rain. The
sun awakens
without hair
in the sky
like a God
nobody
can deny.

The Hole

I step outside
each morning
with my eyes
wide open,
trying not to
fall into that
hole that has
no end and no
way out once
you fall inside.

~~

Too Close

If I get too close
to my body, just
inches away, I feel
something strange
that makes me feel
like I have invaded
my space. I don’t
feel like the spirit
I was meant to be.

Stop/Start

Stop playing dress up.
Stop creating enemies.
Stop falling for traps.
Stop silencing sanity.
Start cleansing tears.
Start ignoring propaganda.
Start looking in the mirror.
Start being positive change.
Start now, everyone.
Stop the false prophets.
