Making the most of what is, as it is, is the way of the masters. They don’t demand outer perfection but make each moment perfect by the way they see and use outer conditions to refine their beingness. If it’s rainy, they don’t fight the rain; they peacefully use an umbrella or joyfully dance with the rain. If it’s sunny, they don’t curse the sun; they consciously celebrate life or relaxedly rest by a tree. There are always sensible, graceful, and easy ways of favorably using life situations. And awareness is certainly the foundation for cultivating self-empowerment and development in every scenario.

Knowing what to do, or even not to do, depending on the circumstances without losing your beingness is wisdom in action. Sometimes waiting passively, yet awarely, is also a facet of self-mastery. You don’t force things; you just flow or retreat in a way that benefits life—your life and life as a whole. The greatest waste of your energy is fighting what is, wanting it to be different when, more often than not, there’s not much you can do to change the course of events. Still, you can always use the flow of things to effortlessly and wisely move ahead with your life and grow your light. Mastery is not an otherworldly thing; it’s a very earthly state gained through living. You ground and expand your beingness and knowingness by means of your personal experience and reflection. Yes, your inner and outer observations of life are essential to earthly mastery.

In the end, each condition is perfect if you use it to fuel your personal journey. Not the journey of reaching somewhere but the journey of inner centeredness and emergence. You are touching your “destination” every time you inculcate and expand awareness and sageness. As you do, your beingness certainly shines brighter, closer to your divineness. You have masterly stepped beyond your conditioned humanness, and that is, by itself, the most sublime haven and reward of living.
