Hi everyone, it’s Robbie Cheadle here with you today with my January Jackpot post on LatinosUSA – English Edition. For this Jackpot post I am featuring Bridges.

If you have a photograph of a water bird to share in the Animals section, please email me at cheadlerobbie@gmail.com and use the title Photography – Animals. Please also include a short write up about your photograph.

Bridges in Westminster, London by Robbie Cheadle

During my visit to London in July 2025, our hotel was across the street from St Thomas General Hospital in Westminster. TC was working and Michael sleeps late so I was able to go for long walks along the Thames in the mornings before it got to hot. These are photographs of Westminster Bridge and Golden Jubilee Bridge that I took during one of these walks.

In 2011, between my junior and senior years of college, I went on a summer study tour visiting battle sites where Americans fought in France during both World Wars. At the end of the tour, we had a free day in Paris to explore. Here are some of the bridges spanning the Seine. The one featuring me was on the day before our free day.

Hi Robbie, sorry, I was late. I just emailed you the bridge but you can use it some other time. My grandkids had no school on Monday and Tuesday. We watched them plus a regular Wednesday. Good to see the bridge from Terri.

I love these bridge photos. I don’t take a lot of photos outside of my beer photos, family, and buildings we see when we travel, so not much variation.

Hi Derrick, that is great to know. I had booked a tour of Florence Nightingale Museum and was astonished to find the venue was literally across the road from our hotel. I’d been gearing up to try and find my way around London as it was our first day and we hadn’t get worked out the city.

I love photos of bridges and actually recognized the one above from Venice. My oldest son was never a fan of long bridges and hated going over them. Ironically, he now works for a firm that designs them, lol.

Hi Teri, your comment about your son is amusing. I always had a horror of escalators as a child. I would not step onto them. I remember being left behind at the bottom once and a man picking me up and bringing me up the escalator to my mom at the top.
