«The Remedy» by Precious Magdaleno

Have you ever felt it?
some are little, some are big,
stones in your chest, heavy to lift,
each one whispering not enough,
and their echoes sharper
than a dagger’s breath in the middle of nowhere.

Have you noticed it?
your soul crawls through shadows,
tired,
hopeless,
thirsty for a light it can’t find,
yet drowning in the silence
of battles fought inside this mind.

Do you know the remedy?
when words fall short,
let presence be the balm—
a hand to steady the storm,
a heart to keep you calm,

in His presence,
everything will be alright
rest your soul, weary and divine—
for in God’s arms.

So moving and compassionate. The imagery of stones in the chest and presence as the remedy really stayed with me. Thank you for sharing such a comforting piece.
