on a starry night

through the bare branches

an winter star winks

the eye of cosmos twinkling

late peace moon

seated around the bonfire

exchanging memories

the gnarly tree roots

surround the church yard

bedrock of headstones

nestled on the thorns

red-whiskered bulbul eggs

promising birdsongs
