August always comes with its lovely surprises… unplanned summer trips, nice moments, places…
and this year for me it has also been about a lovely poetry book that I finished reading this past week, which felt delightful to hold in my hands and which I leafed through quite a lot.
Carving Magic is its title, and it is a collection of wonderfully sweet poems by Simona Prilogan.

I enjoyed reading and rereading the verse, looking at the art… somehow mesmerized by their ebb and flow. The black and white drawings are a treat!
And yesterday morning, while “admiring” my potted morning glory “disaster” on the balcony, in all its gorgeously green invasion… it dawned on me,
“Why don’t I take photos of Simona’s book against all this messy plant site on my window sill, the blue book cover and these breezy leaves in the afternoon light, hm… I think it would look great!”

So here it is, in all its afternoon brightness, my out-of-the-blue combination of playful morning glory green and dreamy Carving Magic pages… some of its delicate poems and its graceful art.
