Hi everyone, it’s Robbie Cheadle here with you today with the December post in my Photography section on LatinosUSA – English Edition.
The Photography Section will comprise a weekly photography post with a weekly theme as follows:
First week of the month – Animals
Second week of the month – People
Third week of the month – Nature
Fourth week of the month – Buildings and Architecture.
If there is a fifth week, we will have a jackpot photography post.
I would love all the photographers out there to contribute to this section. If you have a photograph to share in one of these categories, please email me at cheadlerobbie@gmail.com and use the title Photography – [specific theme]. Please also include a short write up about your photograph.
Canada Geese
Photograph contributed by Suzette Benjamin. You can find more of Suzette’s lovely photography on her blog here: https://suzetteb.home.blog/
Canada geese in their natural habitat chillin’ along The North Saskatchewan River bank this summer, Edmonton Alberta.

Baby Giraffe
For this Animal segment post, I am featuring my photographs of a young giraffe calf. When giraffes are very young, their coats are quite orange in colour and the hair on their ossicones is very fluffy.
Baby giraffes fall 6 feet to the ground when they are born which is a rather startling fact. Within 30 minutes of birth, a baby giraffe can walk sufficiently well not to stumble or fall. Within a further 10 hours of being born, a giraffe calf can run and keep up with the adults in the family.
I saw this delightful giraffe calf at Babanango Private Game Reserve in Kwa-Zulu Natal in January 2025.

Orange is a chic gentlecat who looks so cutely photogenic in each and every frame… hard to resist a click when he shows up. In this shot, I’ve always loved that he looks as if he was taking a deep bow, like a gentleman showing his respect to the royal court procession of… summer delights in the garden.
