The Mud Cake

Muddy, the Opossum, made a mistake.
After his mommy made the mud cake,
He stole it from the family’s den.
He didn’t want to share it.
He scampered from the hollow log,
Then scurried into the woods
And down to the riverbank.
While he was rolling in the wet sand,
The mud pie fell from his jowls,
And all Mommy heard were his howls.

Naughty Muddy

When Muddy lost his precious cake,
Otter saw his buddy shake
Then Muddy’s Mommy waddled up,
All her babies bobbing on her back.
What did Muddy’s mommy do?
Did she put him in a shoe?
Did she make him clean his room?
Did she send him to the moon?
Although she told him he was naughty,
She said she loved her bad boy plenty.
