Casa Batlló is a unique building in the center of Barcelona, Spain, which was designed by Antoni Gaudi, the modernist Catalan architect and designer. When I visited Barcelona, in late August 2017, I was really impressed by the entire city, the imposing elegance of Sagrada Familia, certainly, but what I loved photographing the most was Casa Battló, due to its spectacular colorful aspect and unusual structure. The house has a beautiful mosaic façade, flowy balcony rails and a splendidly scaled roof made of ceramic tiles in various colors, with a fairy tale air about it. Sadly, the day I got there, it was overcast, and I could not take a photo of the house against a bright blue sky, but still, I was happy I was able to take these photos, one from a distance and the other from below… featuring some of its wonderfully decorated details.
