«Poetic Waves of Poetry» is a stunning collection of poetic short stories focused on poetry and the water in all its natural beauty. Even in ruin, a shipwreck can be breathtakingly beautiful amidst tranquil, crystal-clear waves, its silent form narrating tales of past bravery or tragedy. Author Tamikio L. ~The Ship on the Waves~
With his stick, the fisherman at the lighthouse moves back from the waves. He walks further down the beach until he reaches a ship.
Though abandoned, the ship sits beautifully isolated, somewhat ominously, as the man continues his journey, clutching his stick.
The ship will eventually receive the man’s arrival. Positioned at the seashore’s edge, it seems to wait for him. All he can think about along the way was how to get on the ship, fix it, and guide toward the lighthouse across the way, the way lighthouse across the sea.
So, he it keeps circling around the seashore. The ship approaches, seemingly heading straight for him. It’s waiting for him. A decaying pile of broken wood leans precariously. The ship expects the man to repair it. To fix the wobbly deck, he looked underneath where he and his men could relax and enjoy card games and eat fish. Yet, his men had left him by the time he boarded the vessel.
~The Woman in the Water~
At midnight, a woman awoke to see a mysterious man gesturing to her from her bedroom window. Her delicate pearl nightgown swept the polished black floor as she walked to the window and left the house.
Tranquil, expectant waves greeted them at the lake. The man transformed into a dark shadow while the woman and man waited. As a gentle wind stirred her nightgown and wavy hair, he took the woman’s hand.
He tugged the woman toward the water’s edge. Suddenly barefoot, the man walked on the water. Though still sleepy, the woman’s eyes widened in disbelief as she felt the icy water against her bare feet. Further into the water, the man continued to guide her. As moonlight glinted, they vanished.
~The Lighthouse~
Waves crashed against the lighthouse. The rocks looked like clay, forming bricks that followed the rocky cliffs toward the lighthouse. To reach the hilltop lighthouse, the woman carefully picked her way around the rocks, dodging the waves.
A portion of the lighthouse was owned by a man named Seth. Pausing, the woman gazed at the lighthouse’s attached house, lost in thought. A gust of wind blew, causing the woman’s hair to whip around. The icy wind caressed her skin as she brushed strands away from her cheek.
Glancing back at the lighthouse, then at the front door, she noticed a man watching her from the doorway. He continued to watch her for a short time. Then he closed the door. The woman knew her destiny lay elsewhere than in the lighthouse.
