From the Author:
Why did I write You’ve got it all wrong? For the same reason I’ve written all the others. We are living on a giant, crusty rock spinning at 1,040 miles per hour, 8 billion of us, each with a story/stories to tell and if as a writer I don’t put them on paper they’ll just careen out into space, lost forever.
Have you ever loved, lost, hated, dealt with death, depression, getting old, bad genes, or just occasionally said to yourself, “What the fuck is going on here?” then hopefully my poetry resonates.
I’m a simple man and write in simple, free-verse poetry because that’s how my brain works, in short, simple bursts. It works for me, so I have faith that it works for you. All I can hope for, besides the therapy in writing, is that it is grounded in reality and relatable to the average person. But don’t be offended because being average is still a pretty big deal!

A moment on the Radar
the leaves were still falling from the trees
in early November
I like to imagine I could feel what they feel
but really, couldn’t gauge anything at all
one let go with what seemed abject terror
as if caught by complete surprise
one fell as if it were content letting go,
it was finally free
and another spiraled to the ground
like a bullet ridden jet fighter
it spun in
there were no survivors

The devil
thought he was being slick
when he created Twizzlers and cantaloupe,
the fruit that’s barely trying
