“The Sun Rises” in Celebrating Poetry by Cindy Georgakas

Published by

The sun rises in the darkest of times peeking its ray of hope and sunshine
reminding us that spirit has a lot to teach us.

The clouds and storms wash away all our dismantled parts so we can see the truth
of our heart connections.

The moon rises, illuminating the truth of our existence that we are all one where
we return to our true nature:

Teaching us patience and resilience, so we can rise stronger and healthier for all
humankind, where we hold hands once again and sing in harmony.

As the clouds turn heavy and dark and can’t hold our sorrow they weep, cleansing
our soul and whisper, stay strong and keep the faith.

Georgakas creates beautiful imagery with an accessible and authentic voice. Her
poetry explores the challenging push-pull of life as well as the calming force of
nature. Meaningful and inspirational, her poems are frequently a breath of fresh
air— sometimes deep and, quite often, lots of fun.

Cindy’s poems about relationships, emotions, and life in general are beautifully
written, relatable, and always uplifting. Reading her poetry is good for my soul.

Cindy Georgakas shares an incredibly thoughtful collection of poetry to go
hand-in-hand with her previous self-care masterpiece, Re-Create & Celebrate.
Our modern world is challenging in so many ways, particularly when it comes to
maintaining our self-worth in a modern world where values seem to have changed
so much in our lifetime. It can be isolating, and it is easy to lose gratitude for
what we are and have achieved in life and our hopes for the future. Thankfully,
there are those amongst us who know precisely the right words to comfort, inspire
and to motivate us to be the best version of ourselves. One of those is Cindy
Georgakas, and in this collection of poetry, you will find the encouragement and
support to remind you, not just of your worth in this world, but the path going
forward to a better life.

Celebrating Cindy Georgakas’s first poetry collection is a joy for me, as her wisdom
and personality shine through every line. The poems in her book capture the
richness of life’s fleeting moments and show how time, memory, and hope shape
us. Through these pieces, Cindy invites us to savor the tenderness in everyday life
and embrace change with an open heart. It’s a delight from start to finish!

Celebrating Poetry by Cindy Georgakas is a radiant collection of a soul’s love songs
to those who grieve. To those who are lost. To those who are unable to let go of
obstacles. To those who worry. This book will hold and carry us each day into the
arms of nature for healing. We will be “transformed, shimmering, and glistening”.
Her poems are “The gifts of a cold, dreary day to shed some hope.” Prayers that
will lift us “safely out of harm’s way”. During these days as dark as magenta night,
we find the strength from these heartfelt poems to endure sorrow and to release
the heavy limbs binding us to fear.

– Barbara Harris Leonhard, author of Three-Penny Memories: A Poetic
Memoir. Coauthor with Nolcha Fox of Too Much Fun To Be Legal

“Love is the gift that binds, and years are the gift of time.” This line of Cindy’s
sums up her love for poetry and her intense desire to connect and share her love
with each of you. You will find her poems inspiring and enlightening.
