«DECEIT» by Maggie Watson
Little birdies tell stories that travel
as vultures gorge themselves on the lies that unravel.
Elephants have good memories, which is
a great asset when you truncate lines with duplicity.
Fabrication of the truth with stitching threads of deceit
always finds a place to hide within life’s rich tapestry.
Gossamer is weak in comparison to the rope that holds fast.
And little birds that drop feathers always tweet the loudest.
It is, therefore, wise never to believe all you see.
