«I Wonder» by Khaley Dela Rama

When interest sparks, we start to see,
The smallest details, the intricacies.
In seeking knowledge, we’re drawn so near,
To things and people we hold dear.
As interest bloomed, it lit a spark,
With focused gaze, we watched the mark.

Though far away, we sought to see,
To know them well, more vividly.
Our senses sharpen, growing strong,
With keen eyes, we can’t go wrong.
The little things now stand apart,
Each detail cherished from the start
We do certain things
to be certain about something.

We won’t let it slip away with ease,
Though courage, work, and time it sees.
Through patience, research, cost, and
strain,
We’ll hold our ground and face the gain.
We began to do things we don’t usually do.

Through the process, no burden we bore,
For from the start, our intent was pure.
Excitement grew, with passion’s flame,
A glowing fire that stayed the same.
We don’t want to leave unsatisfied.
I see.

Only when we become very interested
can we do these things.
So,
I wonder how it feels to be
A local news that stirs your curiosity,
To gather tales and truths untold,
And broadcast them with stories bold.
To be like sports, where hours blend,
With both entertainment and inspiration to
mend
To be like your Spotify playlist you always
listened on repeat.

For every feeling, a musical treat.
I wonder how it feels
to be a sunset, waited patiently.
To be the rise of morning’s light,
And fill someone’s heart with pure delight.
To be a sunglint’s gentle gleam,
Where someone loves my sparkles.
A moonlight soft in darkest night,
Guiding them through with quiet light.
To be a rainbow, bold and bright,
Where every color feels just valid.
A Milky Way, with stars untamed,
Beautiful still, though wild and maimed.

To be a universe, complex, and wide,
Explored with love, nothing to hide.
To have my past, my now, my dreams,
Embraced in all their endless streams.
and yes,
someone who longs to be with me in the
future
just to witness
me.

This poem is delightful. I particularly like these words: I wonder how it feels
to be a sunset, waited patiently.
To be the rise of morning’s light,
And fill someone’s heart with pure delight.
