I Look Up at the Moon and Wish by Precious Magdaleno
the silence of absence
plays again its harmony,
i listened to it carefully
undisturbed
placidly quiet
yet slowly withering
fleeting in misery,
i who did not die is in its darkest hue
again
another soul bids adieu,
now all alone
tracing weaves of regret
for all the words left unsaid,
the time comes
to let go
there is no choice
but go with the flow,
whispering mind
sitting in a cluttered room behind
glass is broken
the wine stolen
still, cigarette is burning
while tears flowing,
i look up at the moon and wish
to back in time
when you and i are still…
