“Written lines from minds that see the world through poetic eyes” – Maggie Watson
Juan Re Crivello: Do you think poetry is back in fashion?
Maggie Watson : Poetry is definitely in fashion whether you choose to read it or not. It is on every Social Media Platform, which is a brilliant way for any aspiring writer to get their work out there.
J.R.C: Is your poetry created daily, or do you wait to be inspired to write it?
Maggie : Watson : A mixture of both.
If I can write, then I do. Ideas sometimes come at the strangest times. I find «writer’s block» so frustrating.
J.R.C: What is your next publishing project? Could you tell us how it came about?
Maggie Watson : I am planning to write a follow-up collection to Pieces of Me. It has been my most successful to date, I believe, though sadly, because of the subject matter.
Domestic Abuse is a worldwide epidemic, and as a survivor, it is my job now to empower others who have or are still in a similar situation.
I also have another collection which I am keen to publish.
Of course, bringing two collections out in one year might be a bit much.
All the poems I have in mind are on my PC. It’s only a matter of curating them into proper order!
J.R.C: What city do you live in, and can you describe your favorite bar or café?
Maggie Watson : I live in a seaside town. I used to live in Edinburgh, the Scottish Capital, and my favourite place would be The Dome, especially at Christmas time.

«Scars on the Soul»
(Part 2:Eggshells)
From Pieces of Me
Scars on the soul, etched over time,
spilt ink stains,
untold stories of passion and pain.
Leaving traces in history.
Written lines from minds
that see the world through poetic eyes,
without the masks that so many hide behind.
True stories, shared not for glory, only in hope
that their words resonate and capture moments in time.
