Translation by Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm
we love each other as though we are criminals, chained up by the whispers of our heart, the only consolation is our last resting place, a bed or a hole in the ground, by the grace of the almighty we have been protected, while you baby, continue to laugh and play, surrender to a world where you are a toy,
baby, you can laugh all you want, laugh till you’re out of breath, lose your way, find yourself in a bad situation and you’ll be crying, you won’t make a sound, you won’t be able to breathe, you won’t be able to find the air in your lungs, the so call trauma of those dreams,
the hopelessness, tell me, the pitiful agony, why do they elude us, why aren’t such pity sustainable, how pitiful can it be, when we love, we find ourself laughing at whether we are even worth the laugh, your thoughts will be the destruction of you, they are the flames that will destroy you, as you stare at the blaring screen of your smartphone, in the middle of this amorous love affair, will it be prudent for me to go and look for you,
like the way you bury your sorrow, in those perfect verses of poetry, quietly you compare me to all your obsessions so far, the vested enthusiasm you have reserved for the people you love,
my lips ignites the desire within you, wine wakes up the spirit inside you, your skin bears the mark of disdain saved for those who craves love but in turn exposes your desire,
a sincere man who saves kisses for his muse, as the desire within those eyes gives birth to jealousy, flashing before the eyes of a drowning soul trying to hold on to a rock, they feel as though they are invincible,
when someone holds firmly onto their pride, they will feel invincible, but in the eye of the ultimate marvelous feat of envy my love, you will dare not question it.
