«JUST A PIECE OF IMAGINATION» by Eia Reyes

Imagine a person who’s incredibly imagining you tonight. Picture her wild mind and bursting heart of how she’s in despair right now, thinking of how she would tell ‘I love you’ to you in the most decent way she knows and she can. Close your eyes as the yellow moon shines over your trembling face. Imagine her irresistible fresh aura as she tells you ‘I love you,’ not with a twisted tongue, nor with her sensuous round black eyes, nor with the captivating smile you used to stare at, and not with a shattered heart but with a flaming soul.

Yes, imagine a girl telling you that she really loves you with her flaming soul. Imagine her now as she gets out of the soft comfort of her bed and pulls out a blue pen with a black ink on a white paper. Imagine her as she tells you ‘I love you’ in the most decent way she knows and she can. Imagine her as she writes “I” with a blue “love” and a grey “you” with your whitest lies. Picture her under the dark sharp sky as she turns on the bedroom lights and begins to form the edges of your face and draws its mood the last time she saw it. Imagine now her moving hands, bleeding with the fires of colors she tries to put to rescue the paleness of your innocent face.

Imagine a girl right now who hardly goes back to her midnight cold dreams, for she still couldn’t find the rhyme of the word “past.” Imagine her now as she’s stuck in that word, as she’s as stuck in the word “love”. Imagine the rough lines, the crossed-out words, the ellipses.

She really has something to tell you more than the ‘I love you.” She really has something to tell you more than the word of mouth, the beat of the heart, and the thought of the mind. Imagine a girl who’s incredibly imagining you tonight with a flaming soul that could light up the drowning darkness of the entire sharp sky.
