«Facade» by Karlyn Miraflor
Pensive voices rebel loud and clear.
Shrieking we deserve better than ambiguous sunsets, revolt.
Wallowed in the surmise of greed they constantly deny
Crime washed away by Pontius Pilate in sly.
Pointing black to a fallen congregation
Stealing dreams of future generations.
They hide in cowardice diminishing the allegations.
Those who chose to be an eyewitness horrendously suffocate the crippling weights of wrong actions shared with feigned government officials
Held captive by injustice, only those who were brave enough to admit the human syndrome of «selfish love» continues to bear the guilt and shame in public.
While the ones who approved the plunder remain seated in power.
