The purgatory between each Guinness
helps an empty glass turn to hell
while an unopened can becomes god.
His compassion even more intoxicating

Another Another is Richard LeDue’s ninth collection with Alien Buddha Press and a quietly resonant testament to his belief that, even when it isn’t much, poetry still matters. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, and now living in Norway House, Manitoba, with his wife and son, LeDue has taught English since 2009 and rediscovered his love for writing poems in 2017. What began as a simple New Year’s resolution to submit one poem a month turned into a deeply committed practice, which led to a steady publishing streak beginning in 2019, including a Best of the Net nomination in 2021 and multiple chapbooks and full-length collections.

This volume, much like Everyday Defeat, gathers previously published work from journals and magazines throughout 2023, along with overlooked pieces from 2019 to 2022 that never quite found a home until now. But despite their origin as leftovers, these poems never feel incidental. Instead, they carry LeDue’s signature tone: spare, unflinching, and quietly profound. With lines that hum beneath the surface, LeDue captures the ache of the almost-forgotten and the ordinary moments that slip through most poets’ nets.
