The Corona-cation Chronicles by Suzane Austin-Hill

When the isolation was no longer fun and the room-to-room marathon had been run, a party of eight escaped to a park and found rare somethings there.  In the space between us – much more than six feet – we did liberating “Sound of Music” twirls.  Although the peaks of the Blue Ridge mountains appeared rather small, bit was certainly better than seeing no mountains at all.

The aged and compromised, lagged behind and soon sighted gifts of nature – granitic rocks with a view.  The incline confirmed this was the place for the grandparents, now like children, to take a rest.  As we waited for the return of the younger and stronger, we found solace in the lingering.

The cool air granted a respite from confinement, but left a challenge – Spite the virus!  Find peace in the silence of letting the great outdoors in.
