LatinosUSA

Hi everyone, it’s Robbie Cheadle here with you today with my October post in the Nature Photography section on LatinosUSA – English Edition. This month I am featuring photographs of Moon Scenes.

I’ve decided to include the next four weeks of themes in each post so readers have more time to contribute to each theme.

Halloween – 23 October – Creepy buildings and/or decorations

Halloween – 30 October – Jackpot post – Anything Halloween related

War – 6 November – Animals used for war purposes: horses, mules and donkeys, camels, oxen, elephants, pigeons, dogs, bats, dolphins and sea lions, rats, bees, and cats.

War – 13 November – People involved in the military and defense

I would love all the photographers out there to contribute. If you have a photograph to contribute to any of the above themes, please email me at cheadlerobbie@gmail.com and use the title Photography. Please also include a short write up about your photograph.

Magical Moons by Robbie Cheadle

The photograph below was taken in the Pilanesberg National Park in May 2024. I still like the gothic and mysterious mood it evokes.

The two moon photographs below were taken at night at Cape Vidal in South Africa.

Distorted Moons by Suzanne Brace

I met Suzanne through various poetry challenges. We share a passion for poetry and I love Suzanne’s beautiful and meaningful poems. You can read a poem she wrote from my latest Tanka Tuesday poetry challenge here: https://brazannemuse.com/2026/03/07/tanka-tuesday-poetry-challenge-no-54-3-3-2026-imagist/

You can find out a little more about Suzanne and her blog here: https://brazannemuse.com/just-a-little-about-me/

Suzanne has contributed photographs of the moon taken from a moving car. The resultant distortions of light are fascinating.

Wayne and Robbie collaboration

Wayne and I collaborated on some pictures for my children’s book, Haunted Halloween Holiday. Wayne provided the moon photographs and I contributed the fondant and cake art.
