Guests

White riders with a pure, perhaps empty conscience. They bring back and sew humility into my chest.

Dante

Heaven is when, by the river’s mirror, right in its bed, the whisper of your name begins. The trees sing, and the birds too. The fish sing, and the leaves too. Heaven is when you stand by the mirror, as if on the shore, and before you stretches all that you love. Red berries, white flowers, collectible figurines, pets, but not me.

Hell is when the throat of the hanged man begins to swell, and silence can no longer bear its own humility. Hell is when I no longer see your silence flowing like a rushing stream.

Your wedding day was my purgatory.
