Hi everyone, it’s Robbie Cheadle here with you today with a photography post for the Animals Photography section on LatinosUSA – English Edition. For this post, I am focusing on Animals with Tails.

Tree Squirrels by Robbie Cheadle

During one of my trips to the Pilanesberg National Park, I saw a pair of tree squirrels playing in a tree. It was wonderful to watch these little creatures having fun together. The pair eventually scampered down the tree and disappeared into the bush. These are my photographs of one or other of the squirrels. I’m sharing the photographs where the tails are displayed to the best advantage.

Click on the slideshow to view the photographs.

  • Tree squirrel with a bushy tail facing the camera
  • Tree squirrel running down a branch with its tail lifted up into the air
  • Tree squirrel running along a branch with its long tail stretched out behind it.
  • A different tree squirrel running down the trunk of the tree with its entire body and tail stretched out.

Special Tails by Andrew McDowell

Andrew McDowell contributed poetry and art to Poetry Treasures 4: In Touch with Nature a poetry anthology compiled and edited by Kaye Lynne Booth and myself. Andrew has also contributed short stories and poems to several other anthologies and has two eco-fantasy novels with a third in progress. You can learn more about Andrew’s work here: https://andrewmcdowellauthor.com/publications/

Andrew has an interesting blog where he shares information about his writing journey and writing tips. You can find Andrew’s blog here: https://andrewmcdowellauthor.com/blog/.

What Andrew says about his photographs: I’ve included pictures of my second and third dogs, respectively, Misti and Jade. The cat was a temporary guest at work one year before being reunited with his or her owner. A throwback YouTube short of me and the cat (I’m the one meowing) got over 5,000 views. Lastly, I’ve added pictures of a bird of prey and some pigeons (including one with a uniquely colored head) that were once in the backyard.

Laura’s Gorgeous Horse and Foal

Laura Putman has a lovely nature blog. This is her introduction to her blog:

I am humbled by the magnificence and beauty of our planet, it is incomparable. I’ve loved and enjoyed nature since I was a young girl. I’ve been a serious photographer for over a decade. In 2012 I’ve developed this blog and dedicated my photography to wildlife, nature conservation and telling stories with my camera. Wild animals are naturally intertwined with the health of our ecosystem and vital to humanity’s existence. Our dependency on nature spans basic needs (food, water, oxygen) to cultural, spiritual, and mental health benefits, forming the natural heritage that supports human existence. It is my intention as a nature enthusiast to capture the essence of the natural world in the form of mindful, inspiring images to connect people with the sacredness of it all

I also write, I created a blog focused on being and living authentically, The Wisdom of a Woman’s Heart, if you’re interested, here is the link laurasusanputman.wordpress.com.
