EVERYONE ELSE IS WISER THAN YOU
Just browse the Internet for a little bit and
you will behold a unique phenomenon: you
are a newbie with no standing whatsoever, so
posting any kind of comment can get you in
a whole world of trouble because of course
you don’t know what you’re talking about
unless you happen to be one of those movers
and shakers who rattle everyone else’s cage.
The Internet is the perfect landscape for those
who like shortcuts. Beware these shortcuts:
After hearing a sampling of the Miles Davis
repertoire, you can play like that, too, or
You can write fugues like
Bach wrote just by adoring
his great artistry

SPELL IT OUT
I recognize a few abbreviations and acronyms,
but there are a lot more that might as well be
put into cuneiform, which is something I could
stare at for hours and then leave, having no clue
what it meant. It is as if their very purpose was
to annoy me.

CHECK IT OUT
A common sight at sporting venues is medical tents, used to
evaluate athletes, because we stop at nothing to provide top
dollar sports celebrities with all the evaluations they need to
polish their stardom. How about having those tents available
for the people? All the way from inner city gangs to city
council meetings, to the hallowed halls of Congress, any place
where people congregate to disagree on topics of the day. We
know someone is going to get hurt, and we should be ready,
willing, and able to follow the example set by professional
sports and have these (commonly) blue tents deployed, staffed,
and available to address our urgent needs.
Blue Tent Special should
be the top item on our
menu of choices

THE ART OF THE DANE
We could not afford
to buy a Great Dane, so we
leased a lesser Dane

STRIKE 3, YOU’RE OUT
Go bowling and pins fall, then we let
machines stand them up again while
other machines tally the score. Get
old and organs fail, then a machine
might keep us alive, until our bodies
are unable to function, and after that
no machine is of any help at all.
