«REFLECTIONS» by Elena Maria Mana-ay Parcon

Pastel skies too slow
To bring the night,
And the night, the dawn
The incandescent moon too discreet
To beckon the earth
And the earth, the wind
The endearing love too subtle
To soothe the wounded heart,
And the wounded heart,  the confused mind
Amidst and beyond
Treading the vast
to nowhere.
