When I’m Dead and Feeling Blue—the selected poetry of Jeffrey Zable—represents over forty years of his writing.
The 61 poems in the book reflect a range of emotions and the poet’s will to move on, as we try to make some sense of it all.
Most of the poems have appeared in literary journals and anthologies, both in the United States and abroad.
Ken Weichel writes: “In this collection of poems, Jeffrey Zable explores themes of memory, mortality, and existential reflection. The poems, rich in metaphor and imagery, intertwine his personal experiences with philosophy and surrealist musings. They range from the contemplative and somber to the darkly humorous”.
“Zable’s poetry captures the complexity and humor of life. The poems pay homage to notable artists and literary figures, combining historical context with creative commentary”.
The book is available for purchase on Amazon, but the collection can also be purchased directly from the publisher ($15 postage paid within the United States).
