Drips and Dries by Deelan Mathew Gregorio
At every teardrop from my face.
A masterpiece is born from pain.
At every moment I mourn and graze. The last layers of my embezzled shame.
At every teardrop from my cheek.
A new chapter in this novel I narrate.
A new casting, I endlessly seek.
Polish the masterpiece I shall create.
At every teardrop from a joyful departure.
I am reborn as a blaze that engulfs all. Pain shall fester, uncut and pure.
Dripping tears, wipe away and fall.
I may be a machine, built for the war of mind.
Yet I am far from heartless, I yearn. Anything to dry my tears, I shall find.
Long live pain, moved on and learn.
The fear of going back to the abyss. Of an obsessive relationship.
The dark fears me, it longs and it misses.
Yet I stood strong, crawled out of the crypt.
