Although it’s hardly been noticed, some editors and writers are returning in the latter part of the year. And Masticadores is nearing the end of its 5th year.

We love this magazine, which is published in so many languages, in different countries, on diverse blogs, and with the personality given to it by the editor and their contributors.

Nothing we’ve done will ever be repeated the same way. We’ll change the guidelines, add new writers, and open unique doors. Every commitment is subject to change, to a new creative invitation. And behind it are humans and a touch of AI, but the direction and the instinct are ours, we damned humans fighting to avoid extinction.

When I started 5 years ago, I didn’t consider we’d take this turn. I remember we published 12 articles a month, and today on Masticadores.com alone, there are 250 articles a month, and we have to add the remaining 19 blogs. A great change, based on the same way editors speak and the same ways of attracting authors.

It’s a gentle approach: respecting the freedom of others.

And it’s directed from many cities, and from this black glass table, with a very large window overlooking a 10-meter-deep courtyard, with a tree at the end three stories high, and ferns and a jasmine that climbs three stories high growing on the sides. And… the birds sing incessantly.

If Masticadores has a soul, it’s the charm of taming life and putting it at the service of others.

The greatness of Masticadores is that it brings together writers who bring out their pens and their ideas, often in difficult personal conditions. Some schedule themselves, others seek out downtime between their work, or the logic of survival. Their hearts always beat, so that their voices may be heard. My WhatsApp or email can feel that heartbeat…
