«Lies» by Navin Bhansali
Not a friend, nor family,
Nor anyone else—
It was always me,
The one who lied to myself.
Telling myself
I didn’t deserve the love I received.
But tell me—
How much self-worth do you need
To simply exist?
Living in my mind,
Finding faults,
I learned to survive quietly—
In the tsunami of illusions
Nurtured by thought.
Now, from the stillness of the present,
I see clearly—
It was always me,
Fooling myself.
They were only instruments.
I had a choice.
I still do.
So I ask myself,
With all the force within:
«Will I act?»
Yes… I will.
And that changes everything.
