Private as we might like to be

we travel from place to place

where people, nature, and events

leave timely marks upon our face.

It matters not how much we own

whether we purchase, rent, or lease.

Journeys of change are best by far.

Ultimately – they give us peace.

Life reveals the unexpected

and cares not if our bodies harm;

provides for need, ignores our want,

keeps on giving, will not demand.

Wherever we live, our lives are

always inextricably tied.

Past and future will present be;

there is no place where we can hide.

Born rich, born poor, made rich, made poor,

it matters not the loss or gain.

Timeless wealth is earned by loving

people and places in your domain.

So private we can never be

ever close the door or ignore.

United love will out from us,

living life means we must explore.
