«Fantasy Dream» by Precious Magdaleno
It’s one o’clock in the morning / lost deep in thoughts of this fantasy dream / glistening within these dark hours of the night / where mind is thinking about you all the time / reminiscing two hearts playing the music of “us” / a kind of old love waiting in the summertime / wait… / it’s more than three hours / I’m still bubbling in this blue bath of bliss / but can’t help myself to resist / O’ do you still remember the fourth poem you wrote? / it’s like how you held my hand / full of promises and living hope / like the colors in a kaleidoscope / while my name twisted in five metaphors / where the dainty sense of happiness / blooming like a rose / and I fell deeply in love with it / yes, I am in love / but now suffering in love / you cause me six times of pain / since you left me alone / in the seventh street of this hell / out of breath, tears streaming / heartbroken with the eight words you said / “I’m sorry, but I’m in love with her.” / and all I want is to forget / get lost in this unknown fog / wait… / it’s already nine o’clock in the morning / I’m still wide awake, waiting / this is not another beginning / anxiety is rocking back / insane for the tenth time / why am I still wishing to be your poetry again? / wait… / this is wrong, so wrong / I should wake up / not to tangle myself in the past / because, from the very start, there’s never been “us”.
